I graduated from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law in 1992. After graduation, I served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Paul Michael Burch, Resident Judge, and Fourth Judicial Circuit.
After serving with the judge for a year, I joined the Fourth Circuit Solicitor's Office as an Assistant Solicitor. During my tenure with the Solicitor's Office, I handled all juvenile court matters, as well as, prosecuted cases in general sessions court in all four counties included in the fourth circuit.
The cases I handled included Driving Under Suspension, Driving Under the Influence, Drug Offenses, Criminal Sexual Conduct, and all other violent crimes including murder.
Near the end of my tenure as a prosecutor for the fourth circuit, I was appointed to be in charge of the Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force. When I left the Solicitor's Office, I returned to my hometown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and entered private practice. I have been actively practicing in Myrtle Beach since 1994.
During my time in private practice, I have practiced in all of our courts, including municipal, magistrate, state circuit courts, and federal district court. I have represented over 2000 clients, including several high profile cases with extensive media coverage. My practice is devoted to all cases involving trial work, including criminal law, automobile accidents, personal injury, workers' compensation and wrongful death.
